Student Feature: Ninah Jackson

Ninah Jackson is a Junior at Oxon Hill High School in Prince Georges County and she is running for Student Member of the Board of Education for her district. She is running with another PGCPS Student,  Jazlyn Leonso for the position. Elections will take place online with the the PGRASG General Assembly on May 28th.  - Best of luck to both candidates !

Ninah is enrolled in the Science & Technology Program at her school and is on the biological sciences track. For the future, she plans to pursue a double major in public policy and educational studies to "Further advocacy for more equitable education". - That is a great double major if you ask me.

Ninah has a passion for policy and education as she is a student advocate in her own county.
Ninah has served on PGRASG (Prince Georges County Association of Student Governments) executive team as the Communications and Public Relations Chair, which is a very big responsibility. She has also assumed many leadership positions within her school serving on the PTA, and numerous SGA positions.
To add, She is the Executive Director of "Students with voices", a group that empowers students to take action on a verity of topics.

If elected, Ninah Jackson's name will go to Gov. Hogan for appointment this summer. No matter what Ninah seems to be destined for great things and is ready for the future.
